​Transit Visa

The Canadian Transit Visa (Transit Visa) is a valid visa required for Chinese citizens to travel to a third country (the United States, South America, etc.) and transit through Canada. This visa is issued by the Canadian Embassy and Consulate in China. The valid period of stay in Canada is 48 hours, and the transit visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. According to the travel plan, the transit visa can be single or double.

All the immigration and visa services submitted by you entrusted by Wei Ling Study Abroad and Immigration Company will be reviewed and submitted by the Wei Ling Licensed Immigration Consultant (ICCRC).

Basic requirements for application

  • The applicant holds a Chinese passport and is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Applicant does not have a U.S. green card

There is no need to apply for a Canadian transit visa when all the conditions of the following CTP program (China Transit Program) are met

  • Applicant holds a valid passport from Mainland China

  • Applicant holds a valid U.S. visa

  • The applicant has not been repatriated or deported by the relevant U.S. authorities

  • Fly on designated airlines

  • Transit from Vancouver International Airport in Canada or Toronto Pearson International Airport Terminal 1

  • Must depart from Asian cities: Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Manila, Taipei, and take a direct flight to Canada

  • Travel to the U.S. within 24 hours of arriving in Canada

  • Do not leave the transit area or enter Canada when transiting

  • Temporary Resident Visit Visa Application Form

  • Applicant's Family Member Information Form

  • Applicant's education and employment details table

  • Applicant's passport/Chinese ID card//electronic photo, etc.

  • The visa of the country of the applicant's travel destination

  • Air tickets/travel plans for transit through Canada

  • Admission letter from the school (if the applicant is a student)

  • Applicant’s employer leave letter (including employer information)

  • Applicant's employment certificate

  • Retirement certificate of the applicant’s pension (such as retirement)

  • Physical examination report (over 60 years old)

  • All the above materials must be notarized in English translation
