Canadian general visitor visa (also known as Canadian temporary resident visa) is called Temporary Resident Visa or Visitor Visa in English. Basic requirements for application
The inviting person has legal status in Canada (study permit/work permit/immigration)
The applicant has an invitation letter from the inviter
The inviter provides financial guarantee for the applicant during his stay in Canada (explained in the invitation letter)
Proof of the relationship between the applicant and the inviter
